Type of Activity:  Independent
Materials Needed:  Cassette tape and recorder, copy of recess time schedule for student reference
Directions for student:
Pick 10 friends and imagine a schedule for talking to them on the phone in one week.  Make a tape of this schedule.  For example:  Kim, I call her on Monday.  Sandy and Bo, I call them on Tuesday.  You must use both boys and girls.  You will have to call two people on some days.  Then make a schedule for them seeing you.

Assessment:
Through teacher observation, based on the quality of sentences produced.

Grammar Explanation
While this does not involve further verb conjugations, it is yet another form for pronouns.Often it is helpful to show the students a chart of these forms:

singular plural
first person I - me we - us
second person you - you you - you
third person he - him
she - her
it - it
they - them
These appear after transitive verbs and in prepositional phrases (and some other, very difficult to explain places like "Who, me?").  Note that they also appear as the indirect object of many verbs:
She gives me a birthday present every year.
We told them our secret.
